Kneeling is how Juan Diego is remembered: on his knees before the Lady of Tepeyac, and again before the bishop as the roses fell and her image appeared on his tilma. This figure shows him in that posture, the humble messenger of Guadalupe, canonized in 2002 and honored on December 9, three days before her feast.
The kneeling figure measures approximately 37 inches from the base to the top of his head; his scale height would be 47 inches if standing. It pairs perfectly with our 60-inch Our Lady of Guadalupe in a garden, grotto, plaza or church entrance.
Made of a lightweight, durable resin-fiberglass blend and hand-painted by artisans, each statue finished individually.
